T
hey say that for every hero there must be an anti-hero. Sherlock Holmes had his Moriarty. Skywalker had his father. His case comes up next week.
So too was there for these three heroes of absurdity.
The year was 1967, the place Selhurst, the person, a groovy 60’s Investigator, Pius Brot.
Pius was born in Liverpool. His father was a window cleaner who spent most of his time up ladders. His mother was a very quiet lady who spent most of her time looking after the sick, well
by sick, we mean some very drunken men of Liverpool. And when we say look after… Well, one day his father forgot to take down the ladder, and as a result, Pius was born 9 months later!

As a young man Pius formed a band with some friends calling them selves THE ABSURDS. The band had few breaks, which made it hard to eat and sleep between songs. When the band split Pius
got very depressed and found himself in the local Library. It was there that he found books, and in one of these books he found the Absurd reports of the unexplained vanishings in Selhurst.
Then he stumbled upon an illustration of Jack Walters. Now it just so happened that his fellow songwriter and band mate was called Jack Walters and that was very interesting. Names are names,
but this illustration was a dead match for the Jack that Pius knew. Now it was getting very interesting. There was only one place Pius could find the answers. Selhurst!
It was in the cold winter of 1967 that Pius found himself in Selhurst. Leaving a note at the local bed & breakfast explaining he was investigating the unexplained vanishings
of Selhurst, Pius left his room and was never seen again.
